Source available

Read the code, change it and run your own copy. Each version becomes Apache 2.0 four years after release.

Your Cloudflare

It runs in your own account, often on the free plan, so your stats never come to me.

The full terms are the Business Source License 1.1 in the code's LICENSE file.

Agency or host? Offer it to your clients.

ReaderCount has a client mode built in. Put your own name, logo and colours on it, give each client their own sign-in, set your own plans and take payments through your own Stripe account. Your clients see your brand, and their payments go straight to you.

Running it for clients needs a commercial licence. Tell me about your business and we'll work out what fits.

// questions

Questions.

Is it really free?

Yes, for one person or organisation's own websites, up to 10. Every feature is included. You only pay Cloudflare for anything past its free plan.

Do I need a cookie banner?

Not for ReaderCount. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your readers' browsers. Check your own website's other tools, though.

Can I use it for my clients?

Yes, with a commercial licence. Client mode gives each client their own sign-in under your brand, with your own plans and Stripe account. Get in touch through the contact page.

Where do I get help?

Bugs go in GitHub issues and questions in GitHub Discussions, where everyone can see the answers. For a commercial licence, use the contact page.

Do my stats come to you?

No. Everything runs in your own Cloudflare account. I never see your stats or your readers.
